Okay, so we didn't have our annual "Water Balloon Olympics" this year. Instead, we we got a nice house that sleeps 10 on Table Rock Lake for two nights and even rented a ski boat for an afternoon. So yes, no water balloons, but all would agree this was an upgrade.
We drove down early Thursday morning and arrived about 10:30 am. We got settled in and ate some lunch and immediately went down to get the paddle boat and kayaks to enjoy the lake. The air temperature was perfect, sunny, and the water temperature was perfect as well.
Afternoon - June 7th
We spent several hours out on the water playing around and jumping in and out of the kayaks and paddle boat. I brought my new Hobie PA14 fishing kayak and was able to take pictures.
Most everyone got to ride the Hobie, which is a fancy kayak that has a pedal drive system allowing you to keep your hands free while fishing.

After a full afternoon on the lake having a great time, we came back to the house where Grandma had a wonderful meal prepared of baked chicken, salad, and rolls. It was awesome and everyone ate like crazy. Chace enjoyed his vegan diet which he happily explained to everyone what that was interested.
Evening - June 7th
We played monopoly the first night where we had some winners and losers, but everyone had fun and we were all very tired from a very full day.
Friday - June 8th
On Friday afternoon we rented a STARCraft ski boat for the afternoon. We had a great time tubing, learning to ski, and wakeboarding. In between skiers, we settled in a bay to swim and just have a great time.

Chace and Vivian enjoyed jumping off the boat.
Lauren was reluctant to tube but found some confidence when she got to do it with her brother Chace.
Chace got to show us how to wakeboard and Madeleine and Catalina got to attempt water skiing, although that didn't really work out in the end. They did have fun however and we got some funny pictures.
Some of the best times were when we just parked the boat and played in the water. Lauren loved the water and if she had it her way, we would have spent the entire afternoon swimming.

Evening - June 8th
That evening after a full afternoon of boating we were all too tired to enjoy the lake, so we all got cleaned up and enjoyed another awesome meal of spaghetti that Grandma had prepared. We played rummy on the deck and talked until dark. We even got to enjoy a lightning storm many miles away, so it didn't bother our stay a bit.
What a great trip and memories for a life time. Can't wait until next year!
